Ukraine introducing national emergency for 30 days
All quarantine measures will be extended for another 30 days.
Ukraine’s Cabinet is introducing a national emergency for 30 days and extends the quarantine regime introduced over the novel coronavirus. “Today, the Cabinet is considering issues related to the introduction of a national emergency and switching the state system of civil protection to emergency mode,” Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Wednesday, March 25, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
“The emergency is to last for 30 days. Accordingly, we also plan to extend all quarantine measures for 30 days,” he added. The prime minister also said that an emergency should not be confused with a state of emergency.
