Ukraine is considering the possibility of hosting the Olympic Games in 2030 or 2032, Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Vadym Guttsait has said.

“We are looking at 2030 and 2032. We are thinking about where to host it [the Olympics] in Ukraine, how much it will cost. We are considering more the Winter Olympics. We are also discussing the hosting of the Youth Olympic Games, or an ambitious goal – an adult Olympics,” Guttsait said, Ukrinform reports with reference to Suspilne.

The minister talked about 2030-2032 when Ukraine will be ready to host such competitions. “We believe that in 10 years we will have development in our country and we will be able to host the Olympic Games,” he said.

The sports minister also noted that hosting the Olympics is an ambitious goal that will help create jobs.

Intending to host The Winter Olympic Games 2030: Japan (Sapporo), USA (Salt Lake City), Spain, Andorra and France (Barcelona-Pyrénées), Canada (Vancouver) and Ukraine.

Intending to host The Summer Olympic Games 2032: India (Mumbai), Indonesia (Jakarta), Qatar (Doha), Germany (Rhein-Ruhr), Spain (Madrid), Australia (Queensland).
