The US Department of Commerce has published a list of companies and institutions of Russia and China, which cooperate with the armed forces of their countries, so they are forbidden to buy a number of US products and technologies.

The Russian list includes 45 organizations and government agencies, including The Foreign Intelligence Service, the Ministry of Defence, the Special Flight Unit, JSC Rocket and Space Centre – Progress, Helicopters Holding, Technologies State Corporation and United Aircraft Corporation.

“The Department recognizes the importance of leveraging its partnerships with the U.S. and global companies to combat efforts by China and Russia to divert U.S. technology for their destabilizing military programs, including by highlighting red flag indicators such as those related to Communist Chinese military companies identified by the Department of Defense,” said Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross.

The list is intended to inform U.S. exporters and re-exporters of U.S. products about the need to obtain a license to deliver certain products and technologies to listed companies and organizations.
