The opposition Democratic Coalition calls on the European Commission to prevent the Hungarian government’s attempts to “experiment” on Hungarians with the Russian Sputnik V vaccine.
Hungary is the first European country to receive a sample of the Russian vaccine with government support.
European MP Sandor Rona said that “we will not be the guinea pigs of the Russians or any other government”, adding that they will not allow an experiment on Hungarians using an “unknown and risky” vaccine that has never been mass tested.
Thus, the Russian vaccine can find its way to other European countries, without any European inspection and license. Accordingly, no one is responsible for its effectiveness and potential side effects.
