Twitter blocked Russian accounts

The social network Twitter has blocked 1152 accounts from Russia, which, according to the company, are connected with the Kremlin authorities and participated in “information operations”.

According to Twitter, blocked Russian accounts are linked to the site “Actual Politics”, which is engaged in political propaganda inside Russia.

The network of accounts was blocked for coordinated reposts of records and “strengthening non-original information for political purposes.”

In addition, accounts published only that information about Russia that was beneficial to the United Russia party (ruling party) and the Kremlin as a whole.
