Two Russians accused of treason in favor of Latvia

An expert of the Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Support Foundation Antonin Zimin and her husband Konstantin Antonets are accused of disclosing information about an FSB officer, TASS reports citing a law enforcement source.

“According to investigators, Zimina disclosed information about the FSB officer who was a guest at her wedding in 2015 to the Latvian secret services. She sent to Latvia, using the Internet, a photo of this Russian intelligence officer, ”the source said.

Spouses are charged under Art. 275 of the Criminal Code (“State Treason”). They face up to 20 years in prison. Other details of this case are not specified.

Zimin and Antonets do not admit their guilt.
